From 5 to 7 October 2016, Asia Fortune Forum (AFF) invited by the Ethiopia government, attended the first International Agro-Industry Investment Forum in Addis Ababa. The event is co-organized by the Government of Ethiopia and UNIDO. The high-level investment forum will feature participants from the public and private sector, including representatives of the Ethiopian Government, international investors, international financial institutions, domestic enterprises, international organizations and industry associations.

During the visit, AFF Executive Chairman and Secretary General Han Jianfeng and part of the forum member enterprise representatives visited the AU headquarters, National Museum of Ethiopia, etc..

Ethiopia has one of the world's fastest growing non oil economies, and quickly became the preferred investment destination for investors. These growth comes from increasing market liberalization and public investment in roads, railways and power infrastructure projects. As part of the country's growth and reform program, the government identified the primary development of labor-intensive light industrial manufacturing industry and industrial parks. In the textile and garment industry, leather and leather products industry, some foreign companies have set up factories in Ethiopia.
